Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Lumen(the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service.
2. Subscriptions (Lumen Pro)
- Lumen Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID.
- Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, it renews automatically at the then-current price. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
- Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
3. AI features — important
The AI assistant generates responses automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. It is provided for convenience only and is not professional advice(legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). Always verify important information against the source document. You are responsible for how you use AI output.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload content you have no right to, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service or its AI backend.
5. Intellectual property
The App and its design are owned by the Provider. Your documents and content remain yours; you grant us only the transient processing needed to deliver the features you request.
6. Disclaimer & liability
The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions made based on AI output. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
